FAQ: Practice Tests, Access and Refunds
Answers on buying access, finding your results and how much practice can lift your psychometric test score. Cannot find what you need? Contact our support team.
01I have bought a practice pack. Where do I find my tests?
Access starts as soon as your payment has gone through. Open “My Tests” from the menu at the top of the site.
We also email you your login details for Test The Talent straight after the purchase. Delivery can occasionally be slow, so give it 5 minutes before assuming it has gone missing, and check your spam or junk folder (Gmail users: also look in All Mail).
No email at all? You can reset your password here.
app.testttalent.com/my-account/lost-password/
If that does not work either, the email address may have been mistyped at checkout. Get in touch and we will sort it out quickly so you can start practising.
02I bought the wrong practice pack. Can it be swapped?
We are not able to switch access manually once a purchase is complete. What we can do is this: you buy access to the tests you actually need, and we guarantee a refund for the pack you did not need. Contact us and we will put it right.
03I took a free psychometric test but my result never arrived
If you entered your name and email address correctly when you took the free test, your result is also sent to you by email.
Sometimes that email lands in spam, or outside the main Gmail inbox. If you still think nothing arrived, write to us: we can look up your test and send the result to you manually.
You are also welcome to take the free tests again.
04Can I retake the same test?
Yes, every test on Test The Talent can be taken as many times as you like. Under My Tests there is a Test History page listing all your attempts, with your results and a detailed explanation (feedback) for each question.
05Can I buy more than one practice pack?
Yes, you can add more than one pack to your basket, but bear in mind that some questions appear in more than one pack. If you are not preparing for one specific test and simply want broad practice, the general numerical, verbal and logical practice pack is the better choice.
06Is there a money-back guarantee?
Yes. You can get a full refund of the purchase price within 14 days of buying access.
A refund closes your account, and all your test results are permanently deleted.
Email support@testttalent.com to request it. We would appreciate hearing why the tests were not right for you.
Refunds are paid back through our payment provider Pensopay, not by bank transfer. Officially this takes 5 to 10 days, but it is usually quicker.
07How much can practice improve my psychometric test score?
Practice warms up and sharpens the thinking skills a test measures. If you work with maths or large data sets every day, you might improve by 20 to 30 per cent on numerical tests. If your background is less mathematical, or numbers are not part of your daily work, you will usually gain more, and improvements of 90 to 100 per cent are well known.
Logic tests show large gains too, mainly because many candidates have never seen this type of question before, so practice lifts their performance considerably.
Our own data points the same way: comparing the results of everyone who took the free tests with the results on the last test showed an improvement of 76 per cent.
Whatever your background, a short spell of focused preparation is usually enough for a much better score.
08What is the pass mark for a psychometric test?
Some employers do set a fixed minimum score for certain roles, but it is not published. This is most common in knowledge-intensive organisations. More generally, a score well below the normal range makes it hard to get the job.
In most cases there is no formal pass mark. Your result is weighed alongside your CV and qualifications and compared with the scores of other applicants.
A strong score is a real advantage, especially when several candidates have similar skills and experience.
Your preparation can also come up at interview, particularly if you scored very highly. You may be asked how you did it, what strategy you used and how much you improved. It tells the employer that you are motivated for the role, prepared properly, and will see a difficult task through.
Many organisations keep test results on file, and managers and HR may use them later when considering you for promotion.
09Is it a subscription?
No. Test The Talent only offers one-off payments, never subscriptions. You pay €49 once for a product and have access to that pack for three months. When the three months are up your access ends, and you can simply buy again if you need more time.
10I am a recruiter. Can I use your tests to assess candidates?
Unfortunately not. Our tests are only for candidates preparing for an upcoming recruitment test.
